Sysco Foods to expand facility

Sysco Foods of St. Louis plans to break ground in June on an 80,000-square-foot expansion of their 220,000-square-foot food distribution warehouse in St. Charles in order to increase efficiency and decrease operating costs. Dock areas, the central office and the warehouse portions of the building in Fountain Lakes Business Park will be expanded in the $9 million project set for completion in December 2005. The expansion will allow the company to use fewer people to pull groceries, receive larger pallets of product and store more products in one spot.
